Asus tablets already have ClockworkMod recovery tool support

Without a good file recovery system, you cannot unleash the full potential of your mobile phone. Install official or modified ROMs, make partitions, change themes … Now, the most popular of all, the ClockworkMod is also available in its touch version for the Asus Transformer tablets.

The developer of ClockworkMod and the ROM manager has published this week his touch version of your recovery tool for the first two tablets, the Transformer TF101 and the Transformer Prime. It joins a long list of mobiles that and has its own version of the recovery tool.

All Android devices have their own recovery that basically allows you to reset the terminal to leave it as fresh from the factory or recover the operating system from an official ROM downloaded in zip format and little else. But nevertheless, with ClockworkMod can be installed too Unofficial ROMs like CyanogenMod or MIUI, get ahead of the updates of apps that have not yet come out in the Play Store … Besides all that, ClockworkMod is one of the easiest to use.

Before using it, you have to root the terminal (We will return to how to be root in another post). Now with all the privileges, you have to install the ROM manager app from the Play Store. When you run it, the first option that appears is to flash ClockworkMod Recovery in the terminal. From there, installing new ROMs, recovering previous versions or returning the device to its original state will be much easier.

The touch version of ClockworkMod can be downloaded from the Play Store for $ 1.99 separately. But it can also be downloaded for free from its developer’s website and installed manually. That is the only advantage of the first over the second.
