The truth is that the announcement has been able to catch more than one by surprise, especially with regard to CyanogenMod 11. The fact is that due to new improvements that have come in this one, which is based on KitKat, as in the next iteration of their work have made them decide to launch final versions of their works that, according to them, will be the finals.
The truth is that it makes sense that CyanogenMod versions 11 and 12 are still being talked about, since there is a good number of users who use these developments nowadays, so the members who have worked on their design felt obliged to “to give a statement and last push so that everyone can see the work we have done”. By the way, this means that Nightly versions for these versions come to an end.
CyanogenMod 12.1 focused
This is the clear consequence of the movement, since according to what has been communicated now, all efforts are coming to make this new version of the well-known ROM much better and stable. This, which is based on Lollipop 5.1 (and with certain cumulative additions that are from the game in Android M), it accelerates in its news and arrivals of new versions -until it finds the definitive one-. It seems, on paper at least, a good idea to focus on a single object, as improvements in this will surely be more constant.
The fact is that more advanced final versions of CyanogenMod 11 and 12 can already be obtained and, therefore, if these are the options that you like the most -or want to try them-, this is the time to do it safely. Is it a wise decision to focus on version 12.1?
