We have already indicated how to do this for other models on the market, such as Samsung’s or the Nexus 5 itself. And now, it’s time for the LG G3, the best model offered by this Asian company and offering a very capable hardware when it comes to working with all kinds of applications (including games). A detail: as we always indicate, following the steps in this tutorial is sole responsibility of the user and, in addition, the battery must be charged at least 80%.
Steps to follow to restart the LG G3
There are two processes that we are going to explain, the first is called “soft reset” and that takes advantage of the options included in the operating system itself. It is all very simple to do and with little risk. The next process is called “hard reset” and it is somewhat more aggressive and complicated, but much more effective. The point is that before proceeding with either of the two, phone information should be backed upas this will be completely erased.
If you want to proceed with the first option, what you have to do is access the operating system Settings (use the cogwheel-shaped icon in the Notification Bar) and, once there, search the section general. Click on Backup and restore and select Automatic restore erasing all data.
Now click on Factory data reset. Then you must do the same in Reboot the phone for the process to begin (confirm on the screen that appears below), which will take a while. Now the LG G3 will restart and you will have it as new.
Steps to do a “hard reset”
As we have said, this option is somewhat more complicated but, the truth is that it is much more effective since it erases all the data in a much more “deep” way. Next, we indicate what you should do to get to a good port using it.
Turn off the LG G3 and restart it by simultaneously pressing the Power + Volume Down buttons. Wait for the LG logo to appear. Then, press and hold the Volume Down button and you must release the power button for a moment, to press it again later. The screen named Factory Data Reset will then appear.
Use the volume buttons to move through the menus and the power button to select. Now look for the section Erase All User Data and Restore Default Settings. Now you must select Yes and press to start the process. Have some patience and backslide the LG G3 when the time comes.
With these steps you will have the phone as new and, obviously, you will have to restore the data that you have saved when making the backup and reinstall applications that you had before. A process that takes a while, but when you check how fast the LG G3 works, you will see that it is worth it.
