1.- Battery consumption
They say that LINE has a relatively high battery drain. It is partly true. Everything was due to a specific problem, and the problem has already been solved in most of the devices. If you were one of those who uninstalled it for this, it may not happen now. However, an application that consumes more battery than its competitors, being now so limited in terms of autonomy, can be a serious problem, and more so when it comes to growth.
2.- The consumption of system resources
If battery consumption is important, RAM consumption can be even more so. Be that as it may, all mobiles have a battery and it lasts the same, one day if we don’t use it too much, and less if we use it normally. However, the difference in RAM memory between devices is really important. There are smartphones whose RAM memory is quadruple, or even eight times greater than that of other basic range. For all this, an excessive consumption of RAM memory can slow down devices with smaller memory.
3.- Problems with notifications
Some users are having problems with notifications. They report cases of notifications not received with some messages, notifications that come in days after receiving the message, or even opening some of these and that the messages take a long time to load. Without a doubt, they are very common errors in any application. But much more experienced services, like WhatsApp, have already surpassed them.
4.- Less compatibility
If WhatsApp has something, it is that it can be almost everywhere. Not only is it compatible with iOS and Android, which would be the most normal, but it is also available for Windows Phone and BlackBerry. But the thing does not end there, the most relevant thing is that it is almost the only option of this type for Symbian and Nokia S40. This makes, without a doubt, LINE is far below, being only compatible with iOS, Android, Windows and BlackBerry. Although, as is clear, both Symbian and Nokia S40 are going straight to extinction.
* 5.- Fewer users
My mother is on WhatsApp, and my grandfather is too. And hundreds of other contacts. In LINE, although there are more and more, we do not exceed a couple dozen, at the most. This is a major drawback, since it is more difficult to reach the same number of people that we used to reach. Not only because there are fewer users, but because those that exist do not pay as much attention as they do to WhatsApp.
Although LINE is growing, we will still have to wait a little longer to see if it has just been established. If we had written this post a couple of weeks ago, we should have included a couple more defects, which have been solved very quickly. This is proof that they are actively working to improve the service and that they will most likely continue to do so in exactly the same way from now on.
We have read it in ADSL Zone.
