New in Gmail and Inbox
It is not a particularly novel novelty. It is not the most innovative in the world, and in fact some of us could say that we believed that Gmail and Inbox already had the following novelty. And now the two applications they already automatically recognize email addresses and phone numbers. And not only do they recognize them, but by clicking on them we can start composing an email if it is an email address, or a call if it is a phone number.
It is also possible save the phone number in the phonebook. This is very useful when we receive emails that include a phone number and we want to save it to associate it with the user who has written to us. Now we will no longer have to copy the number and add it to the directory, but by pressing twice on the screen we will have been able to save the phone number of that user.
Both Gmail and Inbox are email applications with little new feature. In fact, Inbox was actually a first as it was a different app for email, but also from Google. Apps are generally already final apps, and the news that may be arriving are scarce. In fact, the fact that they are so popular means that any radical change could make an app that is actually used by a large number of users no longer so useful to users.
In any case, it is a novelty that although it is not very relevant, will be useful when facilitating communication with other users, by being able to send emails and make calls more simply when we find an email address or a telephone number in an email.
