Until now, we had only talked about two phones that would be officially presented by Google on October 4, the Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel 2 XL. However, now comes new information about a possible Google Pixel Ultra, a high-end smartphone that would compete with the iPhone X.
Google Pixel Ultra
Little precise is the information that arrives about the Google Pixel Ultra. It would be credible for a high-end mobile. But precisely the fact that it is data that any high-end smartphone would have is what makes it not seem very credible that the Google Pixel Ultra could be a reality.
In theory, it would be a better smartphone even than the Google Pixel 2 XL. It would have a screen without bezels and with a dual camera. And the goal would be for the smartphone to rival the iPhone X.
Would compete with the iPhone X
Although in reality, it seems quite logical that Google wants to present a smartphone that competes with the iPhone X. The Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL will be standard high-end mobiles. But the iPhone X is presented as the mobile of the future. We have already spoken before that the iPhone X is not as futuristic a smartphone as it actually appears. However, Google must present a mobile that claims to be the best on the market.
Until now, Google smartphones were simply quality phones, which were generally not the best sellers on the market. However, now that Google has acquired HTC’s Pixel mobile division, it is very likely that the company wants to introduce more mobiles, and that it wants to make a profit from the smartphones it presents. Competing with the iPhone X could be one of the goals for which it has bought the Pixel mobile division of HTC.
However, just as it is claimed that the iPhone X is the mobile of the future, the presentation of a Google Pixel Ultra at the beginning of 2018 would seem more logical, as an improved high-end mobile.
