How to hide files on Android in a simple way
To do what we are going to tell you, you can either use a file browser on your Android mobile or connect your mobile to your computer using a USB cable. Perhaps this second option is the best, since it will allow you to drag files and create folders and documents more easily.
The first thing is: do you want to hide a ready-made folder or hide specific files in a special folder?
- If you want to hide the files in a specific folder: Imagine that you want to hide all the covers of your music folder or all the WhatsApp photos from the Gallery app. Just go to the appropriate folder and create an empty text file called .nomedia. Once you do, check with a Gallery application that they are no longer visible.
- If you want to hide multiple files in a hidden folder: If for example they are photos, go to the DCIM folder. Inside there create a folder called .hidden and inside it create another empty text file called .nomedia.
With these methods, you will be able to access the files using the browser, but they will not be visible in gallery applications or in players.
