We spend more and more data, we need more and more Internet because we are connected, and between your own phone, sharing mobile data with another person, etc., a control is needed. We show you how you can control the spent data.
Your phone’s data manager
This depends on the brand of phone you have, and therefore, the software that the manufacturer includes, but most phones have a section in the settings to control the amount of data you have spent. Of course, you can usually only do that. Although some manufacturers include an option to put a consumption notice to the amount of GB that you indicate.
As we have said, each one is different, but more or less you can always find them in similar sections. We can find them in Wi-Fi and Internet and then in Use of data. You may have to rummage through some more submenu, but it won’t be much different from that.
My Data Manager
Okay, the idea is not bad, but, if you want to have more control over your data, this will fall short. So here we come to solve it.
My Data Manager is an application specially dedicated to controlling your (or rather for you to control) your consumption of mobile data.
When you open the application you will be able to set the data limit you have in your rate. If you don’t know how much data you have, you will have to call or visit your phone company and ask. You set it and then you put the data that you have used this month.
Here we recommend that you look at the amount of data you have used from the options of your mobile phone, as we have counted before.
Of course you can also configure alarms so that they send you a notification when you have exceeded the amount of GB (or MB) that you want or some alarms such as when you spend 90% of the data. You will only have to go to the section of My Alarms to be able to configure them.
And to finish off we can put our widget or have a notification with our use of the data, to always have it in view.
Your company’s own app
If you are in a relatively large telephone company it is possible that it has its own application, you just have to search the Play Store for the name of your company and check if it has an application, where by entering your customer ID, you can check rates, data, etc.
Here the information it shows depends on the company (and on the optimization of the application), but you can always resort to My Data Manager if you don’t like it.
Do you use a specific app to check your data?
