WhatsApp is one of the apps that we can use the most every day. Sure you have a hard time keeping track of the times you entered it to read or send messages. And sure, too, that there will be many of those conversations that you do not want to miss under any circumstances. Therefore, it is essential that you know how to save those conversations through a backup copy and that, if you end up installing WhatsApp on a new mobile, you can easily recover them. We teach you!
How to backup your chats
Safely saving all the conversations you have on WhatsApp is a simple task. You just have to open your application and, by clicking on the three vertical points that you have in the upper right part of the app, click on Settings. Once here, you must go to the option of Chats and then until Backup copy.
The service with which WhatsApp chats are backed up on Android is Google drive. In the menu that appears after clicking on Backups, you will see when was the last copy made and further down, you can change the chat backup settings. This is where you can choose in which Drive account you want to store these copies, how often, if you want them to be made only when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network and if you also want to include the videos that are sent to you.
Restore an old copy of your WhatsApp chats
It can often happen to us that they steal our mobile and we have to use another or we bought a new phone and, with him, we want have all the conversations that we had on the previous mobile when installing WhatsApp. If you used to periodically save a copy on your previous device, as we have seen in the previous photo, you don’t have to worry. Restoring a backup is very simple, because as soon as we install WhatsApp on a new phone and verify our phone, the application itself will be the one that asks us if we want to recover conversations from a backup copy.
Finally, if you have downloaded WhatsApp on your phone again or have just installed it for the first time on a new terminal, remember that you must activate the option to make backup copies with Google Drive in the settings tab, as we have taught to beginning of this article. The safest thing is that as soon as you restore your chats when you reinstall the app, it is she who asks you if you want to make backup copies, as we showed in the photo on the left. This way, you will make sure to keep your cloud conversations.
