Download Root from Lineage OS
Lineage OS ROMs do not arrive prerooted. That is, you will have to root the mobile after installing the new ROM. They already told us that when they released the first official versions of Lineage OS. However, they also told us that they would provide us with the tool to root mobile phones, so it is very simple root any Android smartphone that already has Lineage OS.
To do this, first we will have to locate the Superuser file that we need in each case from the download section of the Custom ROM. To do this, access the Download section of Lineage OS, and look for the Extras option in the left menu. You will see that here you have six elements: “Su” and “su removal”. The first is to install the Superuser and root the mobile, and the second is to uninstall it. So we will choose the first one. But you will see that there are three types.
It is simple. If you have a smartphone with a MediaTek, Qualcomm or similar processor, and that is not 64-bit, then choose the first one. If your processor is a MediaTek, Qualcomm or company, but 64 bits, then choose the second. If your mobile has an Intel processor, then choose the third one, the one that says (x86). You can find some more information about this in the section Settings> About phone from your own Android.
Once downloaded, we copy it to the memory of the mobile. Not inside any folder, but in the memory of the mobile.
Now we restart the smartphone and access the Recovery menu. If you have installed Lineage OS, you know how to access the Recovery menu. Go to Install, and find the file you downloaded. Select it, run it, and let the process take place, after which the mobile will restart and start normally.
Actually, the mobile is already rooted. However, there is one last step you can take to activate it. Go to Settings> Developer options> Root, and here activate the options Apps and ADB. With this, you will already have your mobile with Lineage OS completely rooted.
