It is common for functionalities to be added to the fingerprint reader, in fact, we recently told you which were the best applications to add functions to the fingerprint sensor of your Android mobile, but we do not talk about this option.
If you have a phone with a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, a phone like the OnePlus 6T or the Samsung Galaxy S10 You may be interested in being able to scroll from the fingerprint reader itself. We teach you how to do it.
Scroll from the fingerprint reader
For this we will use the application with a name as explicit as it is Fingerprint Scroll. That allows us to select in which applications we want to scroll with our fingerprint reader.
We can find it in the Play Store, it is developed by Youssef Ouadban who has shared his app on XDA Developers.
Fingerprint Scroll is free, although it may include certain in-app purchases.
To use it we will have to download it, when starting the service by clicking on Start service. We give you accessibility permission and it will be ready to go … Or almost. We need to select the apps in which we want it to work.
It will ask us to select at least one app when activating the service but always we can select the applications we need by clicking on the “+” button located at the bottom right of the screen, you have both installed and system apps.
Once we have selected the applications that we want, with the service activated and the accessibility permission (which is done in just a minute although it seems many steps) we can use it and we can slide through the pages or applications that we have selected with our fingerprint reader .
It should be noted that we can also configure the options to our liking, in this way we can customize how the app will work, choosing the speed of travel, if we want to reverse the direction or not, if we want the scroll to stop suddenly or have a small transition, etc. We can even put the app in dark mode, the truth is that it is not short of options.
The truth is that the app is quite complete and has many options and it may be that although you had never had the idea of scrolling with your fingerprint reader, perhaps now you will give this functionality a chance.
And what did you think? Do you see it as a useful feature or just one more option? Leave us your opinions in comments!
