What could be one of the first rivals of Samsung’s Galaxy Note tablets, the HP Pro Slate 12, along with his little brother, HP Pro Slate 8. There are many interesting features, but we can highlight the large 12-inch screen of the first of them, and the advanced stylus with which they will arrive in Europe, something we already know.
HP Pro Slate 12 and 8
We have known these tablets for a long time, as the information regarding them is not new. However, the truth is that we still did not know when they were going to be launched, and much less if they were going to be marketed in Spain, but it seems so, and on that basis we can hope that they will be true rivals of the Galaxy Note, thanks to the advanced stylus technology they’ll have. In any case, we’re going to focus on boring first, and quickly put it aside. The HP Pro Slate 12 has a very large 12-inch screen, with a Full HD resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels. The HP Pro Slate 8 features a 7.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. The two tablets will have a 2 GB RAM memory, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. We are also talking about the first tablet to have the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 glass (HP Pro Slate 8, not the 12-inch version) of the new generation with the one that already has the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. To this we must add two megapixel front cameras, and eight megapixel main cameras for the largest tablet, and seven megapixels for the smallest. Both will have a screen with a ratio of 4: 3, like the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 5. The weight of the larger version will be no less than 850 grams, while the eight-inch version will weigh 350 grams, although yes, the two tablets will have a thickness of less than 8 millimeters.
HP Duet Pen
However, the most striking of all will be that these two new tablets will feature the new advanced pointer, the HP Duet Pen, which has technology based on the Qualcomm pointer. This pointer has even more advanced functions than those of the Samsung S Pen, and, for example, with an accessory that is sold separately, called HP Paper Folio, you can write text that is digitized on the tablet itself, all thanks to have technology based on ultrasound. Even so, we hope that more information regarding this pointer will arrive soon, as the two tablets are going to be launched in the European market.
Apparently, the price they could count on when landing in Europe would be 379 euros for the version with an eight-inch screen, and 529 euros for the version with a 12-inch screen. Although the price is yet to be confirmed.
