We started talking on the screen of the new jewel of the Chinese. The one that would be the successor to the first Huawei Ascend P1 would have a five-inch panel, compared to the 4.3-inch one that the previous one had, a logical growth seeing how the competition is. The screen resolution would not be all that desirable for a device that could occupy a position in the high range, since it stays at 1280 by 720 pixels, being high definition, but not Full HD. It seems that this detail is what made the difference between the highest range and the mid-range, and not the size of the screen.
The processor that would equip itself would be the same as the other launch this year, the Ascend D2, and it would be a K3V2, capable of reaching a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz, a great result as is the current market. The RAM that would accompany this processor would be a 2 GB unit, the standard currently in any device that begins to get into the high level. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean would be the version of the operating system that would command the Huawei Ascend P2 on the day of its presentation.
As for its camera, it would go to 13 megapixels, and it would not be alone, since a small front camera would accompany it, which would stay at 1.3 megapixels, complying with just enough to make video calls. All the photographs taken would be stored in the 8 GB internal memory that the terminal would carry, and which, apparently, would not be expandable. This last detail shows that they try to make the device as cheap as possible by subtracting less essential elements, as happened in the case of the Nexus 4.
But without a doubt, the three best things about Huawei Ascend P2 they are yet to comment. In the first place, its battery would be, according to the leaked information, 3,000 mAh, which ensures incredible autonomy, and more with a screen that is not Full HD and that consumes less. On the other hand, despite having such a large battery, it would be the thinnest smartphone in the world, so its thickness would be less than 6.45 millimeters. Finally, it is worth noting its price, which would be about $ 280, which would stay at about € 210 at the current exchange rate, an incredible price for a device with these characteristics. It is really difficult for us to see it arrive for that price, but if so, it will be time to start putting aside the prejudices with Chinese mobiles and start buying more profitable devices. Launch at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
