As has been known, this company is already preparing a low-cost phone that will integrate one of the accessories that has become fashionable in terminals with Google’s operating system: the fingerprint reader. The fact is that according to the information that is available, the price that this model will have would 165 dollars (which to change is about 150 euros).
This is made possible by the inclusion of a new contact recognition system by Synaptics, which is much cheaper to manufacture and, by extension, to integrate. By the way, the new Huawei model of which the exact name is not yet known would also include support for all data connectivity bands, so it would also be from the LTE (4G) game. In this way, the two options that we have talked about would become a standard for the Chinese company, as has been learned by Wu Zhou, Vice President of Huawei.
Fingerprint readers are definitely here to stay
The truth is that the different manufacturers and software developers already bet definitively for the integration of these accessories in mobile terminals. The utility is pretty clear as regards the security of the devices, since they can be used to unprotect them and, in addition, they are an appropriate tool for payments with mobile terminals. An example of what we say is that Google already seems to be working on the integration of this functionality natively in Android and, obviously, the companies that launch phones are firmly committed to their use, such as the aforementioned Huawei or Samsung.
The fact is that Huawei is clear that fingerprint readers have an obvious utility and that they are essential part of the future of telephony And, for this reason (and in a similar way to how ZTE already did), it has taken the step of making it a reality in an entry-level terminal. By the way, at the moment not much more is known about its hardware. Does this company seem like a good decision?
