LG G5: Flexible screen
One of the novelties of LG G5 will be its screen. And it seems that it will be a 5.6-inch screen, with True HD IPS technology and with a 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. Even so, this will not be the most relevant novelty, but the fact that it is a flexible screen will be. Samsung is going to launch a mobile with a folding screen in January of next year. It is said that LG could also have technology to make a folding screen. A flexible screen could be a folding screen. The LG G Flex and the LG G Flex 2 already had flexible screens, and if the new LG G5 had a screen of this type it would not be a great novelty either, and certainly could not compete with the new Samsung with a folding screen, What the logical thing is that it will be a mobile with a folding screen. And that is precisely why the mobile would be launched next month, although we will talk about that later.
LG G5: Design
Little or nothing has been said about the design of the LG G5. The LG G4 is one of the few high-end phones that has not come with a metallic design. Even the Samsung Galaxy S6 has come with a metal and glass design. The LG G5 should have a high-end design, and we are not just talking about a leather case, but a metal or glass case. Both the iPhone 6s and the Samsung Galaxy S7 already have or will have cases that are better than simply the aluminum cases, and that is why the LG G5 must already have a design that is truly innovative. Of course, if the smartphone were foldable, the design would not be so relevant, since it would already be an innovative mobile.
LG G5: Performance
Being a flagship, it will be a smartphone with high performance. It will probably feature a next-generation, eight-core, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. This processor is already compatible with 4K screens at 60 frames per second and 120 Hertz. The processor confirms the display and the display confirms the processor. In addition, there has been talk of different RAM memories, from 3 GB to 6 GB. Taking into account that mid-range mobiles already have 3 GB RAM, it is logical that this new flagship has, at least, 4 GB RAM. In addition, three different versions will arrive that will vary in the internal memory, 32, 64 and 128 GB. There will no longer be a 16GB version. Even so, the memory can be expanded by means of a microSD card.
LG G5: Cameras
The LG G5 will feature two cameras, like almost all smartphones. The main camera will be a camera that will have an exclusive sensor, manufactured by Sony, of 20 megapixels. This sensor will be 0.5 inches in size, so it will be a sensor with a size somewhat larger than what is usually normal in mobile photographic sensors. Thanks to this, better photographs will be obtained. Of course, they will continue to be far from professional cameras, which do not have the limitations of a smartphone, but it will be one of the best mobile cameras in the world. The front camera will be 10 megapixels.
LG G5: Battery
Apparently, the new LG G5 will have a 4,000 mAh battery. Typically this would be a large capacity battery, topping the already standard 3,000 mAh for flagships. However, considering that it will feature a 5.6-inch screen with 4K resolution, it is more of a standard battery. However, the smartphone will be compatible with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology, so we can charge the battery at high speed.
LG G5: Launch and price
It is claimed that the launch of the LG G5 could occur next month. Thus, it would be in November when the new flagship would be presented. However, despite being presented in November, its probable arrival on the market would not occur until the beginning of next year, there is even talk of February or March. That means it would be presented long before it hits the market. It is something that has already happened with the Motorola Moto 360, and in general it does not usually have very good results, but it may be LG’s strategy to compete with Samsung, which would also launch a similar smartphone in January, with a folding screen. Be that as it may, if the new LG G5 is presented next month, then it will be confirmed when it will be available. Regarding what it will cost, nothing has been said yet, although there has been talk of $ 900. If it really is a smartphone with many new features, a price of 800 euros is not really strange, since the Samsung with a folding screen will also be very expensive. However, this would also be confirmed next month, in the official presentation in November.
