Although they are not the only ones, and we find the most diverse models. And it is that, there is no company that manufactures tablets with Android operating system of the level of Samsung. It is true that many value Asus launches very well, but the truth is that the only company that has tablets for sale and with a catalog similar to that of smartphones is the South Korean company. Let’s review each of the tablets that seem to be hitting the market:
Samsung Galaxy Duos 7.0
This tablet is surprising by the name, since until now we have never seen one that did not contain the words Note or Tab. In this case, they have preferred to focus on one of the characteristics, and that is that it has the possibility of using two SIM cards. Thus, it is the first Dual SIM tablet that the company would launch on the market. It is really curious, since there are many users, and I would say that the majority, who opt for WiFi versions that do not carry 3G. However, it is also true that it is increasingly common for users to buy tablets with a mobile network. And there is still more. As a rule, the tablets of the South Korean company are usually models that also allow phone calls. Thus, it would actually be a smartphone with Dual SIM, but with a screen typical of a tablet. Of the rest of the specifications of this tablet we know very little, except that it will have a dual-core processor, a three-megapixel main camera and a two-megapixel secondary camera. The memory can be expanded by means of a microSD card, but the RAM it will have is unknown, although seeing the rest of the characteristics, it is most likely that it is a 1 GB unit.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0
This new tablet would be the one corresponding to the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, but in its Tab version. The screen would be eight inches, so it would rival the iPad Mini, and would use AMOLED technology, although it remains to be determined whether the screen is 720p high definition or if it becomes Full HD 1080p. This last possibility is quite feasible if we consider that the processor is an Exynos Quad Core, and the internal memory is 64 GB, so Samsung would bet on high-end features. A five megapixel camera would close out the known spec set.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 11
Another novelty of the company would be to launch a tablet with an 11-inch screen. Most likely, the frame of the tablet will be reduced and used for the screen, in such a way that a larger screen would be achieved in the same space. This would fit with Apple’s supposed strategy of also launching an iPad with an 11-inch screen to replace the 10-inch one. It seems that the eight-inch tablets have displaced these, and that if they want to find a niche in the market it is necessary that they offer something more. As for the rest of the known specifications, it seems that it would be at the level of the current Nexus 10, with a dual-core processor, but with Cortex-A15 architecture. The internal memory would be 64 GB, and the eight megapixel camera.
Without a doubt, it is the most important of all. What loses a bit is the name, since some might think that it would come with an eleven-inch screen, but apparently it will be 10.1 inches. It is not uncommon, considering that the Nexus 4 has a nearly five-inch screen. The most remarkable thing about this tablet is that it would have an eight-core processor, with Cortex-A15 architecture. We would be talking about a next-generation processor with big.LITTLE technology. It could be a true rival for the iPad. Its launch would be ready for the months of September and October of this year 2013.
