Microsoft Band 2 will arrive on October 6 with new design

Microsoft Band

The truth is that Microsoft’s smart bracelet is one of the best that has been launched so far. Not only did it have the ability to count steps and hours of sleep, but it also had a built-in heart rate monitor, and had a GPS. In fact, only one smartwatch combined these features, and it is the first-generation Samsung Gear S. Of course, the price of the Microsoft bracelet was typical of the price of any watch. However, with the new generation of Android Wear smartwatches, more expensive than the first generation, and an Apple Watch that already has a high price, the new bracelet might not be as expensive. In any case, it will have a new design.

New design

While the original Microsoft Band had a very sporty design, this version will be somewhat more elegant, as the screen will be framed in aluminum, which will give it a somewhat more premium look. However, it will continue to be a bracelet, and not a watch, with which Microsoft is preventing talk of a war between Apple, Android Wear, Microsoft, in which the latter, by design and sales, would end up losing. Thus, the bracelet continues to be one more option, which does not expect to be the great revolution, but which is a small advance in what are smart watches or bracelets.

Although we do not yet know precisely the characteristics that it will have, two of them must be highlighted. One of them can be deduced from its design, and that is that it will once again have a heart rate monitor, located in the lower closure of the bracelet. The other aspect to highlight is that possibly, again, it will be compatible with Windows 10 for mobile phones, but also with Android and iOS, thanks to the fact that the bracelet does not depend in many cases on smartphones.

In addition to this, there will be a new feature, and that is that the bracelet would have an altimeter, thanks to which it will be able to count the steps we climb, or the ascents we make when cycling, running or even climbing mountains. We will see if finally its price does not make it a too expensive bracelet or, if on the contrary, it becomes one of the best options for those looking for a wearable with many functions and with an interesting price. This new Microsoft Band would be presented on October 6.
