Florence, a romance with a new flavor
Florence is the first game created by the still young developer Mountains Studio, a company owned by Florence and Monument Valley designer Ken Wong.
The trickster game tries to bring to life a love story between its protagonist, Florence, a 25 year old girl trapped in a boring, routine life focused on work and Krish, a young cellist.
Florence belongs to that category of games called interactive narrative story, that is, our work as players will be minimal, beyond a series of mini games in the form of puzzles or puzzles, that we will have to resolve to continue advancing in the couple’s romance.
As we advance in the story, we will realize how the game tries to bring to the screen of our devices a faithful image of any sentimental relationshipEither the moment when both are known as the ups and downs that the couple experiences throughout the narrative.
Graphically, a delicacy
It is to admire the quality and harmony that Ken Wong manages to transmit to us with everything he creates. This time the game has a slightly different approach than we saw in Monument Valley, this time Ken Wong focuses on the hand drawn drawings with a clear influence of the style presented, for example, comics.
Ken Wong has continued with the same design and theme line that he already introduced with Monument Valley, that is, a different dynamic than usual. Despite his passion for violent games, the acclaimed designer has preferred to explore what other stories and dynamics can explode without having violence as a central axis. The main goal that the creative and owned studio of Wong seeks is to reach those people who do not play regularly, pretending to introduce them into this world with games without relaxing, simple and visually attractive.
Download Florence on Android
As we said at the beginning of the article, Florence will be available from today on Google Play at a price of € 2.29, a price that at least, in my opinion, is quite correct for the visual experience that the game gives us.
