Pokémon is a franchise that has always moved in portability, with consoles like the GameBoy or the different Nintendo DS, so it was a matter of time before a mobile game was launched, and it was in 2016 when Nintendo, along with Niantic, encouraged to release a game for smartphones with Android or iOS operating system.
Pokémon Rumble Rush
Almost three years later, here we have the new installment of the adorable and popular pocket creatures for mobile devices, but it seems that Pokémon will not release a game similar to the main games (currently for Nintendo Switch).
This time it’s not about Pokémon Masters, but about Pokémon Rumble Rush, a game in which you are a “toy” Pokémon and defeat other Pokémon with lunges and attacks while navigating dungeons.
Although it may sound strange if you are used to playing the main games where you embark on an adventure to defeat the best trainers in the region, it is not the first time that Pokémon uses this formula, since in 2009, Nintendo released for his Nintendo Wii console Pokémon Rumble, that as you can see they share a name, and they had a very similar dynamic. In addition, that game already had a Battle Royal … will one have this telling us that we are in the heyday of this type of game?
With nice graphics and very simple gameplay, Rumble Rush is designed so that everyone can play this game. The game will be free but with in-app purchases, which we assume will help you advance more quickly in the adventure.
The game will also have dungeon bosses, so it is similar to a conventional role-playing game, but with a difficulty adapted to the target audience, which is a more casual audience. We can collect different Pokémon and put ourselves in their shoes, although, as in his first game for Wii, we will start out as a friendly Rattatta.
Although the game can already be found in the Play Store, at the moment only some users in Australia have been able to get the hang of it, although some have already been released on Android APK’s beta. So you can install it on your own and test the game.
What do you think about this game? Would you play it? Are you a fan of Pokémon?
