Starting by your processor, the OnePlus 3T has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 while the new model is expected to arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. The previous phone, the 3T, has a RAM of 6 GB. At the moment it has not been confirmed with how much the OnePlus 5 will arrive but the rumors speak, with great confidence, of the 8 GB of RAM.
The double camera is another of the great differences. The OnePlus 5 would be the first of the brand to incorporate dual camera technology, according to leaks, recent rumors and alleged photographs. The specifications of the sensors are not clearly known. Some speak of two 12-megapixel sensors while other rumors claim that one of the camera’s sensors would be 23-megapixel.
The OnePlus 5 expected with a 5.5 inch screen, as is typical for most of their phones. However, the change would reside in the screen resolution. An upgrade to a Quad HD panel is expected on top of the OnePlus 3T’s 1080 display. This would bring the new flagship of the brand closer to other high-end such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the LG G6, for example.
The battery will also be one of the improvements on the OnePlus phone. Many of the rumors known so far speak of a range of 4,000 mAh. Other rumors indicate that the autonomy will stay at 3,600 mAh. Charging 2.0 is also expected to be incorporated, which will lead to a 25% improvement in phone charging times.
OnePlus intended to use black as one of the versions for the OnePlus 3. In the end it was not like that and launched a special edition for the OnePlus 3T. Now, it seems that the ‘Midnight Black’ is very likely one of the variables of the new phone, the OnePlus 5. A number 5, we remember, because 4 is the number of bad luck in China and the company has decided to skip this model.
