Some had their doubts that Ouya, the console with Android operating system, was a reality. Well, all that can be had are dissipated since it has just been known that 1,200 developers have begun to receive them and, therefore, the promises crystallize and are a reality.
The models that have been sent are special, since it has a different design: they are transparent (with an appearance that is very reminiscent of an ice) and they include all kinds of documentation so that all kinds of software can begin to evolve with it. Therefore, if you are one of those who invested in Kickstarter do not despair, the deadlines are being met and you will receive the one you bought. Good news and that, on the other hand, leaves the creators in a very good place.
This is the video that the CEO of Ouya, Julie Uhrman, has recorded when receiving the Ouya console and in which some interesting details can be appreciated first-hand:
This is Ouya, according to the video
One of the first things that strikes you about the console is its size. Not much bigger than a cup type mug, so it can be placed almost anywhere. In addition, the box includes both an HDMI cable -this is very complicated that it is also available in the models for end users- and the usual microUSB in Android devices.
In addition, you can also see the controls, with a special design also as it is a developer pack. But what is very true is that the ergonomics seems to be very careful and therefore they are comfortable. By the way, it is confirmed that the units for the market will be available in the month of March.
These are the most interesting features of Ouya:
- SoC Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core
- 1 GB RAM
- 8GB storage (with microSD card slot up to 32GB)
- Controllers with wireless connectivity
- WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 ports
- Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system (upgradeable)
