The fingerprint reader under the screen was expected to arrive with Samsung Galaxy S8 but Samsung couldn’t do it in time before launch. It was expected to arrive with the new Galaxy Note 8 but, ultimately, it will not. The reader would not be ready for the launch of the new phone and is postponed until at least 2018.
A representative of Sasmsung Electronics, whose name has not been revealed, as reported by SamMobile, has assured that they have done everything possible to install the fingerprint reader integrated into the screen of the Galaxy Note 8. “But we decided not to install it on this strategic phone because various technical and safety limitations”, Explained the representative of the brand.
Samsung will continue to work on the fingerprint reader so it can be ready for the Samsung Galaxy S9 but we won’t find it at the moment. Samsung’s fingerprint sensors have a way to go and their oval shape on the front is not as accurate as those from other round brands like LG, Google or even Xiaomi.
According to rumors, el Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would arrive on September 8 although it is not yet confirmed by the brand. It is expected to be a phone with a 6.3-inch Infinity Display and to be the first high-end of the brand that incorporates a double camera on its back. It is also expected to have a button to launch Samsung’s assistant, Bixby, and to have an iris scanner, among other features.
