Six voices for Google Assistant, but it is not yet available in Spain
During the Google I / O 2018 quite a few news were announced that affected all sections of Google’s business. Regarding the Google AssistantAmong the most outstanding novelties was the possibility that he was able to make calls himself to, for example, make an appointment at the hairdresser or reserve a table in a restaurant. All the advances around this idea raise more or less suspicions, but they also have other consequences.
One of them is that Google Assistant gains more voices. Since the digital assistant is going to communicate in more ways, more tools are given to express themselves. In addition, customization is offered to users so that the wizard adapts to them, and marks a kind of new beginning for the tool. These six voices are not yet available in Spain, since a great deal of previous work is required to translate it into other languages. But those who use Google Assistant in English they can now change their voice.
How to change the voice of Google Assistant
Launch the Google Assistant with the method you prefer (press and hold the Home button, by voice, a physical button …). When it appears and indicates that it is active, click on the button at the top right to access its Explore menu. Once again, at the top right you will have a button with three dots. Press it and choose Settings, and in the new screen enter preferences. You will see a category called Assistant voice.
As you can see in the image, there are a total of eight possibilities. Each time a voice is tapped, an audio sample will be heard to help you determine if this is how you want your Assistant to sound. Since there are no names, the only trick to distinguish them is to remember that the odd voices are female and that the even voices are male.
Google will continue to work on adding more voices, including from famous people like John Legend. And when you change the voice on one device, it will change on everyone connected to that account. Google, including smart speakers like Google Home, which will arrive in Spain throughout 2018.
