Sony ST26i, new possible mobile, no longer Sony Ericsson logo

Sony It is one of the companies that is taking the most mobile phones during the activity of this year 2012. Or at least, the one that presents the most mobile phones. We recently talked a lot about Sony Xperia GX, the one that was going to be the new flagship of the company and that finally will not leave Japan, inexplicably. Now, it is the turn of a new device, whose model number would be Sony ST26i. We are now going to talk about the technical specifications that have been leaked, but before that, we have been struck by the fact that it no longer carries the green logo of the extinct Sony Ericsson.

This mobile would stay in the mid-range of what the smartphone market will be when it reaches the public. As for its multimedia capabilities, its four-inch screen with a resolution qHD, 960 by 540 pixels. This screen will be accompanied and powered by a NovaThor U8500 processor, capable of running at 1 GHz. For its part, the RAM memory remains in the 512 megabytes, just enough to be able to move the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. As for its internal memory, it remains at eight gigabytes, with the possibility of being expanded by means of a microSD card.

Without a doubt, its specifications and characteristics are very close to those of the Sony Xperia P, so it is very strange this Sony ST26i. Are we talking about another version with LTE intended for eastern markets? Everything could be. In any case, the mobile includes capacitive buttons in the lower area of the front body, and not inside the screen, as the Xperia GX and SX presented this week. In addition, its design, although bicolor (black on the front and white on the back), is much simpler and less stylish than that of the entire NXT family, so it seems more oriented to emerging markets than to more demanding audiences like Europe American.
