This has nothing to do with a jump in the version of its operating system, and what has been included by the company in the firmware is an improvement in the use of the heart rate sensor that is integrated into the Motorola Moto 360 of which we speak. And, also, a security patch so that the information with which the user works is safe (it is the corresponding one for the month of May that Google deployed not long ago).
What has to do with the sensor becomes the starting point in the Moto Body application. Now the heart rate reading is performed in a continued, so the user does not have to execute the process in a timely manner and is freed from this work. This adds convenience – but it remains to be seen whether battery drain is abused. Additionally, the aforementioned data is used to offer a best calculation when it comes to knowing the calories consumed with physical exercise. These two options are interesting, there is no doubt.
More news of the update
As we have indicated, the new firmware includes all the security news which are from the departure of the Android operating system update for the month of May. In this way, a good number of vulnerabilities are corrected, which ensures that the user’s data is not in danger (this is important, since more and more information is handled in smartwatches). Additionally, the company has announced that both the Motorola Moto 360 (2015) and the Moto 360 Sport achieve advances in stability and consumption -the latter is basic, for the aforementioned of the use of the heart rate sensor-.
The rollout of the update has begun in several regions, which is specifically the MWD49B, but in Spain we have not yet detected its arrival (but it is only a matter of days, at most, that this happens). The availability notice appears directly on the Motorola Moto 360 and you simply have to follow the steps shown on the screen without losing synchronization with the phone you have and, especially, without draining the battery.
