Did you think the iPhone X was not expensive enough? Well in reality it will still be more expensive than what has been announced. And it is that a feature as basic as fast charging, present in many smartphones on the market, and in fact in all cases today, will not come standard with the iPhone X, but will have to pay more to have fast charging.
iPhone X without fast charging
The price of the mobile in Spain will exceed 1,100 euros, and the smartphone will not even have fast charging as standard. Actually, the smartphone will support fast charging, but the accessories included as standard to charge the battery of the smartphone do not support fast charging. For the smartphone to have fast charging, we will have to use a USB Type-C to Lightning cable. That is, the iPhone X, and the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus also, must be connected to a MacBook, or to a USB Type-C charger in order to have fast charging. It is assumed that in half an hour it is possible to charge 50% of the battery, but additional accessories will have to be purchased.
In this case, it would be the USB Type-C cable to Lighting, with a price of about 30 euros. But of course, we need a charger with a USB Type-C port. Apple’s cheapest charger has a price of about 60 euros. If we have a MacBook or Chromebook that was recently introduced, with a USB Type-C port, we can save ourselves the purchase of a charger for the battery. But in any case, having to spend an additional 90 euros to be able to have fast charging on a mobile whose price exceeds 1,100 euros is almost a joke. There are much cheaper mobiles, with prices of 100 euros, that already have fast charging, and include both the cable and the battery charger necessary for the smartphone to be compatible with fast charging.
