OnePlus has shown four colors on Twitter asking users what they would like the color of the phone to be. A gold option and a black option that do not attract especially attention. Two other not so common: a red version and a colored version. A colored version, according to OnePlus, which would be a “unicorn” version. Something totally unusual in a mobile phone that would have the housing in blue and pink tones.
It is not known so far if it is just a joke by OnePlus to attract attention and continue to create expectations for its OnePlus 5 or if the brand really wants to go one step further take out a multicolored phone.
OnePlus 5, specifications
The phone’s specifications are not yet officially known except for rumors or leaks. It is known, however, that the OnePlus 5 will arrive with a camera tuned by DxO. Of the rest of the specifications there is nothing confirmed although it is expected that it will arrive with a dual camera on the back and even that it could arrive with a dual front camera. A phone that would be the first high-end (not the first phone, in general) to incorporate two dual cameras in the same terminal.
The last displayed pictures of the phone they could imply that the new mobile would arrive without a headphone jack port. Where the brand usually places the jack port, a second speaker can be seen. The phone would thus add to the fashion of dispensing with the port and having to use USB Type-C to connect headphones or use wireless headphones. This characteristic, like the others, is not confirmed either and it is possible that the port was incorporated in the upper part of the terminal, of which there is no photo.
The phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor inside. Rumors differ whether the processor would be accompanied by 8GB of RAM or 6GB of memory. Another of the expected specifications is, of course, that the phone work with Android Nougat together with Oxygen OS interface. All this with a battery that is expected to be 3,600 mAh and that seems to offer great performance thanks to the low power consumption of the phone and the screen in particular.
We will have to keep waiting to see if the leaked specifications become a reality or not and if finally OnePlus launches a revolutionary phone in “unicorn color”.
