Online storage, when it comes to mobile devices, is now indispensable. Having the documents or files anywhere simply by having an Internet connection is optimal for both personal and work use. And, one of the most used applications because it is available on various mobile operating systems, is Box that just received a major update.
The new update, which moves the application to version 1.8.5 on Android, adds some options that are considered basic for many users and that were not available to date. Most importantly, it is now possible to manage saved files and folders using the Move / Copy option. It’s kind of basic, but now you’ve just hit the Box app. Therefore, it is now easier to leave the content of your space in the cloud in the places that you consider appropriate (before you had to resort to the client for the Internet browser).
Another useful addition is that, now, you can select various files or folders by pressing and holding on the choice. An action that was not available and that, do not be fooled, is common in phone and tablet users, who were surprised by this lack in Box for Android. Additionally, performance and security improvements have been included. If you want to try Box, what give away 5 GB of cloud space when signing up, you can download it at this link on Google Play.
It is true that the Box application has some bugs that need to be corrected, such as not having a specific client for desktop computers, such as Dropbox offers, or that nowadays cannot stream files saved in Box, but the company has already announced that it will solve these two aspects shortly.
Do you use Box? If so, what do you think of the new update?
