Chinese mobile technology has long ceased to be a surprise. Gone are the days of speculation and reluctance, today they are at the same level as any large manufacturer, even with the advantage that, for now, they can produce more and cheaper. In this way, we find a new mobile phone from the Chinese Xiaomi, specifically the Xiaomi Mi3S, which will be one of the new banners of the company.
It is not quite clear why, but Xiaomi is one of the Chinese companies with the best press in the West. Any speculation, rumor or leak is picked up by the specialized media and they give it great coverage. All this when the international deployment of its terminals is really yet to come. Thus, the information does not stop being produced, and sometimes it even arrives two by two.
Recently the news was in the new Xiaomi device that was seen in a benchmark. It was called the Mi4W, and he assumed it was the Xiaomi Mi4 in the making. However, it now appears that we were actually dealing with the specs of the Xiaomi Mi3S.
The new strength of the Xiaomi Mi3S
The update to the “S” is something Xiaomi has already done before, so it would not be surprising at all. The Mi3S is expected to be practically the same as its predecessor, but with somewhat improved features. So, it would arrive with a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AC) quad-core processor, 3 GB of RAM and 8 MP in the front camera that were revealed through that benchmark result. It will also have 4G LTE support.
In short, there will not be a revolutionary update, but it is expected to be one more evolution in a terminal with which they hope to continue conquering the market. Although another of the great launches that the company foresees will occur sometime during the third quarter of this year (between July and September), and it will be the Xiaomi Mi4. This one should sport a 2560×1440 touchscreen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor.
The Xiaomi Mi3S would hit the market in April, although it is not known if it will replace the previous Mi3 and keep its price or it will be a version that will coexist with it at a slightly higher price. However, it would not be the only novelty that the Asian firm would have in hand. The same source points to another update to its mid-range equipment, the Xiaomi Redmiwith two models, one of which would include the processor octacore by MediaTek MTK6592.
