WhatsApp follows changes. In recent months there have been many new features that the popular messaging application has integrated or announced: WhatsApp Status, payments between friends, the possibility of sharing the location in real time … Although some are still to come, the new beta of WhatsApp for Android already has slight changes.
The new beta of WhatsApp for Android lets some news. For example, soon you can set an individual conversation or a group in your chat list. As you can do in other applications or in Twitter, for example, you can set a tweet so that it always appears before anyone else, you can also do it in WhatsApp.
A useful feature to pin people we talk to most often without having to search for them in all chats. Or to have quick access to groups of which we do not want to miss anything. When you get tired or don’t want to have the conversation set anymore, you can deactivate it. When the feature becomes available (not listed yet but will be coming soon) and leave a group that you have set as main in the window of your chats, the app will ask if you want to unset the group that you left or you want to keep it as a fixed conversation on the main screen of the application.
Another feature that comes with the new WhatsApp beta is share location with contacts in real time. We can share the location for as long as we see fit so that they know how far we have to go or where we are going. You can limit the time and have your location seen 15 minutes, 1 hour … And you can stop sharing it at any time, when you think it’s necessary. When you send the location to a contact, you can add a text note with directions or more information about where you are or why you are sharing the location.
The beta also comes with new options and a different interface for editing and sending videos. Now, when we record a video and go to share it in a chat, one of the eelements will be in another position as the crop area, which goes to the top of the screen.
