WhatsApp beta news: double stickers and location stickers
The beta version of WhatsApp has been receiving a lot of activity in recent months, largely due to the large number of new features in the section on stickers. Despite the fact that great functions have been added such as the possibility of sending voice notes without holding down the icon, the truth is that a large part of the resources seem to be dedicated to these emoticons in large format which are the stickers.
In its last update they have been found two relevant aspects for stickers: new double stickers and new location stickers.
- Double stickers: If there is one thing stickers have, it is that they take up a lot of space. They are much more expressive forms and need more space to express emotions, which is what allows them to differentiate themselves from traditional emoticons. Due to this, WhatsApp is trying to use double stickers that allow to express more in the same place. Basically it is about putting two different stickers together in one so that they express something different. You can see an example in the following image:
- Location stickers: Similar to those we can see on Instagram and its stories, WhatsApp implements stickers to express where you are. Simply choose the default sticker, fill in the location and place it on the image or video you want. At the moment there are two models.
Still no date for the stickers to reach the whole world
At the moment WhatsApp continues to develop the stickers and add new options, but the truth is that there is still no official release date. Great strides have been made over the past few months, but the general public has yet to wait to enjoy them.
In addition, in this latest beta version of the app they have been added two other functions. The first is the possibility of change language of the application in more countries. So far it was only available in India, but now Pakistan, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania and Bangladesh are added. The second option is enable demote as administrator in the beta version of the Play Store.
