You use WhatsApp frequently, and you usually use emojis a lot. However, when you are going to use Twitter, you use it much less, from time to time you are going to use emoji, and they are nowhere to be found. Where are the emojis on Twitter?
Emojis are not from WhatsApp
We have used this example of WhatsApp and Twitter, apart from because it is a situation that could occur, to explain what emojis really are and what they are not. Many users think that these icons are actually WhatsApp icons, and this is a mistake, it is not. It is true that the app has them integrated, so we can use them very easily. But emojis are not from WhatsApp. That is why they are not on Twitter either, because the latter decided not to integrate them.
But why doesn’t Twitter integrate them? For something simple, because in reality almost all keyboards integrate emojis. We can talk about SwiftKey, or we can talk about Fleksy. We will find the emojis in the keyboards which is where they really used to be integrated, before they were already in WhatsApp. But that does not happen with the keyboard of our Android mobile if we have the basic Google keyboard that came with the smartphone. Thus, if you have been using WhatsApp with the normal Android keyboard, you will have been able to insert emojis, but if then you have switched to Twitter, you will have seen that you cannot insert these icons. You will have these on a keyboard that you have to install like SwiftKey or Fleksy, for example.
It is curious that the Google keyboard does not include them, although not so much considering that Google does not use the same icons that WhatsApp does, but has its own icons. In any case, you already know that if you want to use emojis in any app, you cannot just use the Google keyboard, but you will have to install an additional keyboard.
