This development stands out compared to other similar ones that exist for Google’s operating system by how easy it is to use (in addition, the dependency of the languages to very low). And therefore, it is a great way to make applications that cannot be viewed in landscape by default on Android phones and tablets to offer this possibility.
The download of Set Orientation can be enhanced in the Play Store without having to pay anything for it and, another of the characteristics that attracts attention in this work, is how little it occupies: only 111 KB. As for the requirements, simply by having Android 1.6 or higher it is possible to use it without compatibility problems. Therefore, we are talking about an application that can be run on almost 100% of the terminals that currently exist.
How to use Orientation Set
Once the application is installed, it must be run using the icon that has been created for it. Once this is done, a dropdown menu in which there are different options to execute the forcing of the landscape. There is little else in the user interface.
The possibility that we think is most interesting is Automatic (Full), since this is the one that achieves the greatest possible integration with the Android terminal – the action is even executed with the desktop of the operating system when the gyroscope detects the movement. The point is that once you set the selection, in the Notification bar an icon appears indicating that Set Orientation.
And, all this, adapting in a quite adequate way what is shown on the screen -and making the most of the space-. Thus, usability is maximum and the effectiveness, we have tested the development on Motorola, Samsung and Huawei models, it is really good. In short, it is worth trying Set Orientation, since its work is done perfectly and the options it offers are more than adequate (and it hardly consumes resources, by the way).
