We were saying this morning that YotaPhone 2 It would be released soon, and it would probably be sold first in the UK. However, it could arrive very soon in our country, because according to official information from Yota Devices, the smartphone is already on sale in Spain. Although it must be said that, at least at the time of writing this post, it is not. The best thing about this smartphone is its electronic ink screen. Head over to this morning’s post to read the rest of the information, because we are going to focus on the functions of the electronic ink screen, which are mainly four. In addition, the photographs and video that accompany this text will allow you to see what the new YotaPhone 2 looks like.
The first one is YotaEnergy. Thanks to this mode we can make the main screen become electronic ink. In this way, both calls and messages, as well as any other application, are seen on this screen. This mode is activated automatically when the battery only has 15% left, and it is claimed that it is capable of adding another 8 and a half hours of autonomy.
The other function is YotaMirror. Basically, we can use any application on the second screen, turning off the first. It is perfect for applications such as WhatsApp, Spotify, or one in which we are going to see elements that do not require a high screen quality. We can read WhatsApp messages, or choose the song we want to listen to, on the electronic ink screen, without wasting battery with the main screen.
YotaSnap It is one of the most interesting functions that we find in the YotaPhone 2. Basically, we can make certain elements of the main screen stay fixed on the electronic ink screen. It could be a post that we are using as a reference, or even a map with a certain route that we want to always have in front of without wasting battery. What’s more, even if we run out of battery, this image will remain visible on the electronic ink screen, since it is off as long as the image it shows is not changing. Let’s imagine that we don’t have a battery to show the train ticket with which we are going on a trip. We put this ticket on the electronic ink screen, and even if the smartphone is turned off, the ticket will not be erased.
YotaCover allows us to add a photograph as a screen image for the electronic ink screen. When we use the front screen, the secondary one is left without use, we can customize it with the image we want. How about one with the logo of Apple, Samsung, Sony, or our own company?
He YotaPhone 2 It will be on sale in Spain with a price of 700 euros, and it should arrive very soon, being 100% certain that it will be before the end of the year.
